Attach cars and rockets to the balloon launcher, pump them up, press the button and watch them zoom and fly. Your little one is going to love this toy. Suitable for children aged 3+ however do not let any child play with balloons unsupervised due to risk of choking.
- Your child can watch you blow up the balloons. This will develop their attention, interaction, play and joint attention with you. These are all the foundation skills for learning language.
- Build in verbal routines and when your child is familiar with the language pause at the high-point to see if they anticipate what’s coming next or indicate for you to continue through body language, facial expressions, reaching, pointing, a vocalisation or a word. Examples of verbal routines: “pump the balloon up up up” “ready steady go” “3, 2, 1 blast off.”
- If your child can complete the task independently this will develop motor skills, play, sequencing skills and language.
