Created by Sarah Kelly – Speech and Language Therapist, Montessori Teacher and mum. The PlayEasy Dice come with 4 physical pocket dice and 7 sets of image inserts. We have worked with an illustrator to create these images to target specific areas (more on that later). These dice will grow with your child as there are so many opportunities to develop your child's language. We believe the PlayEasy dice should be a staple in homes, pre-schools, learning support classes and autism classes. They are suitable from age 2+ and will grow with your child as their language develops.

Let's explore the picture card sets in more detail:
- Songs - roll the dice and choose a song to sing. The imitation of gesture and action is an important prerequisite for the for the development of expressive language. You will also teach vocabulary, the concept of rhyme (informally) and build attention and listening skills all while singing songs.
- Animal movements - incorporate some movement into your day while having fun. You’re also working on imitation if you’re modelling the actions and your child is joining in (copying is how your child learns).
- Numbers to roll like a regular dice for any game.
- Story questions - children can often struggle to answer questions and develop narrative skills (telling a story). The visual clues will help build your child’s understanding of questions. If they need help, give them a choice answer.
- Movement break - does your child need to move? Is it a rainy day? Roll the dice and carry out the movements. Simon says is a great activity to get your child moving while building attention.
- Semantics - build your child’s word knowledge, teach new vocabulary & support your child’s work retrieval with the strategies on this semantics dice.
- Mindfulness - is your child feeling overwhelmed? Have they encountered a tricky situation? Do they need a few minutes of quiet time?
